Indian mallow (Abutilon roseum) stamen, light micrograph. Stamens are the male reproductive structures of a flower. Each stamen comprises an anther (bulbous) borne on a long thin filament. The anthers produce pollen (round), the male sex cells of the flower. Magnification: x4 when printed at 10 centimetres tall.
