This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Staid colors of blue combine beautifully with a bit of outrageous reddish orange in this photomontage, which is a mixture of handpainted papers, ink washes, and more. I like it because it's sort of subtle, sort of isn't. And I also think it would look good printed on metal so that the colors would be super-saturated.
About Carol Leigh
I'm a photographer, writer, educator based on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in photomontage work, combining photos I've taken of rust, walls, peeling paint, birds, postage stamps, trees, etc. into images that are completely new, different, and often weird. I also create physical collages, then find myself photographing parts of them to include in my photomontages. It's crazy, but it's fun! My career has encompassed writing guidebooks (primarily about where to photograph in California), newsletters (guides for photographers about where to photograph in the United States), leading photo workshops, and conducting online classes. Hello again, Bennett Gross. The original image was created 12" x 12" and at 300dpi. When you click on the image, you'll see how big Fine Art America can print it -- 40" x 40". The only thing I would beware of, should you decide to order it, is to NOT order it as a print on wood. The process and the substrate will fade my original colors and will deteriorate the boldness of the print. A lot of people like the look, but for this image, in my opinion, the print-on-wood process will ruin it. Whatever you decide, I thank you for taking a look at my work. -- Carol Leigh
